Before opening his Las Vegas-based studio in 2005, Mexico native, Viktor Marocq, had always been fascinated by the dotted appearance of photographs in newspapers and magazines from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Marocq views the earliest forms of photography as inspiration to marry the 20th and 21st centuries by utilizing the pointillism technique while adding his modern-pop twist with the use of fun, vibrant colors – and occasionally a touch of glamor through the application of diamond dust – atop his large-scale acrylic paintings.
With this unique art style, Maroca’s work is easily recognizable, as it can be spotted in a variety of environments such as luxury homes, restaurant venues, high-end spas, aesthetic medical of-fices, and more all over the globe.
